Plum Chutney


Plums are in season and my neighbor gave us a bagful of these organic plums from his garden. They are juicy, sweet and tangy and can be consumed in various ways as jams, sauces, pickles, chutneys, cakes, tarts, etc.

I have made some minor changes to it and I am very happy with how it turned out. Savor it with your morning paranthas, lunch meals, evening snacks, etc. Hope you enjoy.

Tips before cookings:
-Taste the plums before cooking to adjust sweetness/tangyness
- Add amchur/dry mango powder for more tangyness
- Add sugar/jaggery to balance sourness
- Store in air tight container
